Press release -
Error in seafood export statistics in October reporting
On Wednesday 3 November, the report for seafood exports in October was published.
Due to a technical error at our data partner, Statistics Norway, the published figures were incomplete.
«A reporting error occurred just before the weekend in week 43, which unfortunately was not discovered before the data was sent to the Norwegian Seafood Council on Monday morning 1 November», says Espen Kristiansen, Section Chief, Foreign Trade at Statistics Norway.
In the original report, the total export value of seafood exports in October was stated as NOK 11.2 billion.
The correct value for seafood exports in October is NOK 12.1 billion.
The statistics are now updated.
