Andreas Thorud departs from the Seafood Council's operations in China

After around two and a half years in the role, Andreas Thorud has chosen to resign from his position as the seafood representative to China and has announced a move to Nordic Aqua Partners.

This means that the Seafood Council will soon begin recruiting a new representative for our office in Shanghai. The company aims to carry out a thorough and efficient recruitment process to ensure a smooth transition between the incoming seafood representative and Andreas during his notice period.

Given that Thorud will be joining a competing business, the Seafood Council has implemented some necessary measures to protect the operations of the Seafood Council and the interests of the seafood industry in China.

Among other things, Thorud's collaboration and communication with the local Chinese value chain and Norwegian exporters during the notice period will be limited to a degree that both preserves the interests and network of the Seafood Council and simultaneously ensures the majority of planned activities moving forward are conducted.

During the notice period, communication with the local value chain will be managed by the rest of the team in China with support from the main office in Tromsø. Furthermore, communication and collaboration with the Norwegian exporters will be handled by the main office in consultation with Thorud.

We thank Andreas for his excellent contribution to the Seafood Council and the seafood industry during his time with us.
