  • Another record for Norwegian seafood exports in H1 2018

    Never before have Norwegian seafood exports reached the record levels achieved during the first half of 2018. EU markets have seen strong growth in demand, and this has contributed to record-breaking export values for several species, making the first six months of the year the best ever for Norwegian seafood exports.

  • Strong demand drives record prices for salmon

    Norway exported 165,000 tonnes of seafood with a total value of NOK 8.5 billion in May. Volumes were down by 11 per cent, while export values were up by NOK 821 million.So far this year, Norway has exported 1.2 million tonnes of seafood worth a value of NOK 40 billion. Export volumes have increased by 12 per cent, while the total export value has grown by NOK 1.6 billion or 4 per cent.

  • What a season for Norwegian cod! Spring cod is breaking records

    Norway exported 927,000 tonnes of seafood with an export value of NOK 31.5 billion. The volume is the same as last year, and export values have increased by NOK 485 million or 2 per cent, compared with the first four months of 2017. In April, we exported 172,000 tonnes of seafood worth NOK 7.7 billion. The export volume is down 4 per cent, while exports increased by NOK 847 million or 12 per cent.

    Norway exported 676,000 tonnes of seafood with a value of NOK 23.7 billion in the first quarter. This is a volume decline of 8 per cent and a decline of 2 per cent or NOK 488 million compared with the first quarter last year.

  • Seafood exports worth record-high NOK 94.5 billion in 2017

    ​Norway exported 2.6 million tonnes of seafood worth NOK 94.5 billion in 2017. This is an increase in value of 3 per cent, or NOK 3 billion, and an increase in volume of 7 per cent from the record year of 2016. This is the equivalent of 36 million meals every day, year round.

  • Norwegian seafood exports total NOK 9.1 billion in October

    Norway exported 275,000 tonnes of seafood worth NOK 9.1 billion in October. Volumes were down by 5 per cent, while the total value of exports fell by 3 per cent or NOK 281 million compared with October last year. Year to date, Norway has exported 2.1 million tonnes of seafood with a value of NOK 77.6 billion.

  • Norway´s seafood exports total NOK 69 billion year-to-date

    Despite a decline in seafood exports in September, Norway has exported 1.8 million tonnes of seafood with a value of NOK 69 billion so far this year. This is a volume increase of 3 per cent, and a value increase of 6 per cent or NOK 3.7 billion measured against the same period last year.

  • Norwegian seafood exports grew by 7 per cent in August

    August was a good month for Norwegian seafood exports. Norway exported 165,000 tonnes of seafood worth NOK 7.5 billion in August. Volume was 2 per cent higher, while export value increased by 7 per cent or NOK 501 million compared to August last year.

  • Seafood exports worth NOK 6,7 billion in July

    Norway exported 138 000 tonnes of seafood at a value of NOK 6,7 billion in July. Volumes were 4 percent lower, yet the export value increased by 2 percent, or NOK 115 million, compared to July 2016.

  • Total pelagic exports reach NOK 2.1 billion in Q1 2017

    Norway exported 78,000 tonnes of herring and 68,000 tonnes of mackerel with a total value of NOK 1.7 billion in the first quarter. During the same period, Norway exported pelagic fish worth a total of 2.1 billion. While volume decreased by 6 per cent, the value grew by 7 per cent compared with the first period last year.
