  • Increased exports of pelagic fish in 2016

    ​Norway exported 674,000 tonnes of pelagic fish for NOK 7.8 billion in 2016. There is a volume decrease of 15 per cent and an increase of NOK 11 percent from 2015.

    The value of Norwegian salmon in October exceeded the total export value for the whole of 2015. Export value increases were highest in Asia, North America and Africa.

  • ​Record 26 per cent growth for Norwegian Seafood Exports

    Norway has beaten all previous records and exported seafood worth NOK 65 billion this year to date. This is an increase of 26 per cent or NOK 13.2 billion compared with the same period last year. September exports marked an all time high, totalling NOK 8.8 billion. An increase of 31 per cent or NOK 2.1 billion from September 2015.

  • Norwegian seafood exports worth NOK 6.6 billion in July 2016

    Norway exported seafood worth NOK 6.6 billion in July. This is an increase of 15 per cent or NOK 882 million compared with July 2015. So far this year, seafood exports have totalled NOK 49.2 billion. An increase of 24 per cent or NOK 9.5 billion compared to the same period in 2015.

  • Norwegian seafood exports for the first six months of 201​6

    Norway exported seafood worth NOK 42.6 billion in the first six months of 2016. This is an increase of 25 per cent or NOK 8.6 billion when measured against the first six months of 2015. Seafood worth NOK 7.1 billion was exported in June. This is an increase of 22 per cent or NOK 1.3 billion compared with June of last year.

    Norwegian seafood exports totalled NOK 6.7 billion in May. This represents an increase of 28 per cent or NOK 1.5 billion compared with May 2015. Year-to-date seafood exports stand at NOK 35.5 billion. An increase of 26 per cent or NOK 7.3 billion compared with the same period last year.

  • Norwegian seafood exports worth NOK 21.3 billion in Q1 2016

    Norway exported seafood worth NOK 21.3 billion in Q1 2016. An increase of 22 per cent or NOK 3.8 billion compared with Q1 2015. For the month of March alone, seafood exports were worth NOK 7.4 billion. This is an increase of 14 per cent or NOK 937 million compared with March 2015.

  • Norwegian pelagic exports increase in first quarter

    Norway exported herring, mackerel and capelin worth NOK 1.8 billion in the first quarter of 2016. This represents an increase of 60 per cent from Q1 2015. Herring exports amounted to NOK 862 million in the first quarter. An increase of 74 per cent year-on-year. Exports of mackerel totaled NOK 777 million. An increase of 44 per cent and solder exports increased by 78 per cent to NOK 133 million.
