The export value of Norwegian seafood remains above last year's record highs. So far this year, seafood exports have totalled NOK 76.7 billion, which corresponds to a value increase of 1 per cent, or NOK 623 million, compared to the same period last year.

Norwegian seafood exports fell by 14 per cent in August. Seafood exports totalled NOK 7.3 billion. This is NOK 1.2 billion lower than in August 2019.
So far this year, seafood exports have amounted to NOK 68.2 billion. This is an increase of NOK 781 million or just over 1 per cent.

In January 2019 Norway exported 200,600 tonnes of seafood worth NOK 8.6 billion. This is a reduction of 7,700 tonnes or 4 per cent in volume but an increase of NOK 992 million or 13 per cent in value compared with January 2018.
Norway exported 129 000 tonnes of cod, saithe, haddock and other groundfish to a value of NOK 4.2 billion in Q1 2017. This is a 5 per cent increase in terms of volume and a 6 per cent increase in value from the same period last year. The biggest increase was for frozen products, particularly frozen whole fish. But there was also a substantial increase in exports of whole clipfish.
Norway exported seafood worth NOK 5.4 billion in January. A decrease of NOK 457 million, or 8 per cent compared to January 2014.
