Despite a very challenging month of flare-ups of the corona pandemic in many markets, seafood exports remain at a high level. In October, seafood was exported with a value of NOK 10.4 billion. This is a decrease in value of 5 per cent, or NOK 573 million, compared with October last year. Nevertheless, this is the third highest export value for a single month.

The export value of Norwegian seafood remains above last year's record highs. So far this year, seafood exports have totalled NOK 76.7 billion, which corresponds to a value increase of 1 per cent, or NOK 623 million, compared to the same period last year.

Norwegian seafood exports fell by 14 per cent in August. Seafood exports totalled NOK 7.3 billion. This is NOK 1.2 billion lower than in August 2019.
So far this year, seafood exports have amounted to NOK 68.2 billion. This is an increase of NOK 781 million or just over 1 per cent.

Norway exported 129 000 tonnes of cod, saithe, haddock and other groundfish to a value of NOK 4.2 billion in Q1 2017. This is a 5 per cent increase in terms of volume and a 6 per cent increase in value from the same period last year. The biggest increase was for frozen products, particularly frozen whole fish. But there was also a substantial increase in exports of whole clipfish.
Norway exported cod, saithe, haddock and other ground fish worth NOK 1.25 billion in the first month of 2016. This is 11 per cent or NOK 128 million more than during January 2015. Growth is accounted for by a new export record for fresh products, as well as high levels of frozen cod.
Norway exported cod, saithe, haddock and other whitefish products to a value of NOK 835 million in August. An increase of NOK 15 million or 2 per cent compared to August 2014. There has also been a decrease of 22 per cent in export volumes, particularly of frozen whole cod fish.
Norway exported cod, saithe, haddock and other types of whitefish for a total of NOK 6.7 billion in the first half of 2015. This is NOK 896 million more than the same period last year and corresponds to an increase of 16 per cent, which is higher than ever.
Norway exported codfish worth NOK 1.16 billion in November. This is an increase of NOK 293 million, or 34 per cent compared with November 2013. Year to date exports of cod, saithe and haddock total NOK 10.95 billion. This is an increase of NOK 960 million on the whole of 2013. This is an all time high for codfish exports, both for the month of November as well as for the year to date.
